2010 Audi S4 – Portland Audi First!

Aug 31

I have heard it said that the new B8 (2010 +) S4 is understated and resembles the look of the 2009 S-Line A4. I agree with the latter part of this statement, however I can not disagree more with the initial part. The new 2010 S4 is bold and the body truly comes to life when you understand what kind technology is under the surface; in short I think it is perfectly executed. With the new design you not only get a great looking Audi you also get the advantage of the Audi MLP (Modular Longitudinal Platform) that creates that perfect balance of extremely functional Quattro sedan that is very fun to drive. Unless you have had the privilege to drive the S4 from back in the day to the Bi-Turbo V6 and back to the heavy V8, you could really not know how great the new S4 handles. As far as design, Audi is not BMW and it is not Mercedes or any other manufacturer. Our design stays true and functional and the look is “Audi”. As far a driving impressions, they are to come. I wanted to share pictures for now and clear the air a bit on the look and true versatility of the new 2010 Audi S4. However I have heard the 2010 S4 is very quick! I will keep you all posted on personal impressions and feedback from others who have put the 2010 S4 through its paces. As always thank you all for keeping up with I Am Audi and if you have any question please “Contact Me Here”.

It’s okay. I’d rather have a 4runner.

I like the concept of your website. It is informative and the photos are well shot. However, please edit your writing. There are a lot of typos!

From Charles on August 31st, 2009

I am trying to get rid of a 4runner Awesomo.

Unreal pics Scott! Great job. Version 2 is on it’s way!

Hmm, looks like DSG. I might actually be interested in buying another Audi if they started offering more drivetrain options.

From John on September 1st, 2009

John,
Audi is coming out with a number of different drivetrain options for 2010 + .So my bet is you will have your next Audi in the near future with the exact drivetrain you have wanted.

From Scott Mitchell on September 1st, 2009

From what I’ve heard Scott there are no plans to sell a TT (with any engine) in the US with a manual transmission. Same with the A3 and also no S5 Cab with a manual. At least the S4 will be available with the manual transmission but it’s not currently on my shopping list.

From John on September 1st, 2009

John,
Weather you go with the new 7-Speed DSG or the classic Manual transmission the 2010 S4 is a blast to drive.

From Scott Mitchell on September 6th, 2009

Scott,

Love the photos and the car. Curious to know the camera make and model you used to take the above images. Look forward to hearing from you.

I want to move up to an S4 when my A3 lease is over. The lease rates unfortunately, are insanely high on the S4 (canadian). I hope it goes lower when my lease is due in April.

The design on the standard 18″ wheel is a lot better than the optional 19s equipped on that car.

From Vince on September 25th, 2009

i loved the audi s4.that is my next car i am going to buy.

1. Performance

Every part in the machine counts.

With our vehicles being developed from the ground up around the world famous & award winning Quattro All-wheel drive, it is no wonder we are the leader in performance.

With countless victories and developments in Le Mans, Rally racing, Pikes Peak, and touring car championships, we build the most competitive All-wheel drive cars in the world. If you are looking for that unfair advantage, welcome to Audi, you have found it.

2. Safety

Why die, when you can live?

Brought to you by the company that pioneered safety standards and crash testing almost 100 years ago, with Audi there is no compromise in safety.

Available with technical advancements such as side guard head protection, Side Assist, adaptive headlights, three point safety belts and many other award winning safety systems as well as L.E.D lighting.

3. Design

Everyone wants to look good right?

Bold dynamic lines with moving surfaces, coupe like design and an aggressive stance on the road whether moving or standing still.

Audi has set itself apart from the rest of the industry with driver oriented cockpits and the leader of interior craftsmanship, materials and fit and finish. Keep in mind our extensive use of aluminum, space frame technology and low center of gravity give you that true Audi experience inside and out.

4. Versatility

Sometimes abundance is not enough.

If you want it, Audi has it. And if you have heard of it, it is most likely an option. Audi builds the most versatile cars in the world. Four door sedan or sport back, Coupe or Sport utility vehicle, big or small, front wheel drive or Quattro, gas fuel or diesel - and you still have to pick a color.

We build vehicles that will truly win races and pick up the groceries on the way home. If you let an Audi tell you it's story, it will never disappoint or disconnect you from the experience.

5. Value

Yes, fair value exchange does exist.

Whether you go with a new Audi and get a 4-year 50k mile warranty, or the certified pre-owned Audi with the most comprehensive 300 + point inspection and up to 6 years, 100k miles, you will not only get the best car on the market,
you will gain piece of mind!

And really, you can't put a price on that.
