Audi Builds Racetrack Inside Frankfurt Auto Show

Carmakers go all out for auto shows, and this has never been more evident than this year at the Frankfurt motor show, with Audi creating a multimillion-dollar stand-alone building with a quarter-mile racetrack inside. Audi trained a time-lapse camera on the construction site and released this two-minute video of the 52-day build. The resulting edifice is “friggin’ awesome,” in the words of one Autoweek editor, with cutouts in the walls where guests can see the cars whipping around the track.
