Audi Drive Select Technology

With the release of the 2009 Audi A4 we have yet another pioneered piece of technology, Audi Drive Select (ADS). With this new advancement, the driver of the vehicle is able to select between comfort, dynamic and auto setting as well as individaul selections from each to best suit thier driving style.
These selections can be made while driving, through the multimedia interface of the vehicle or with just the push of a button on the dash.
Choosing between these four setting will give the vehicle dramatic changes in throttle response, transmission shift points, shock damping, and the power-steering ratio and assist. When you have discovered what setting you prefer in each mode, the Audi Drive Select settings can be tailored to each individual person who drives the vehicle, whether they are in the mood for a sporty drive or something more suited towards comfort.
My first impression of the ADS was how great it would be for family’s with 2 or more people driving the vehicle who each preferred a different drive, however after experiencing it myself my mind was changed.
I took the 2009 A4 on a 15 minute drive and in that short period I found myself in each mode, customizing each setting to my driving style depending on the road conditions.
In that short drive I realized even with one driver you could really fall in love with the Audi Drive Select. With this feature you gain the capability to have the best of all worlds. Audi has managed to fit 3 cars into one and you the driver can decide which one you want, whenever you want it.
