Audi Headquarters In Depth – Thank You Motor Trend!

May 13

Before you read this article by “Motor Trend” I want to say how great I think it is that Audi has put so much pride into their headquarters and that they invite the public in. I have never been to Germany (I will take this opportunity to ask if Audi AG wants to fly me over I would love to write an amazing article on the Brand!). Well with that out of the way enjoy and let me know what you think of the lime green Audi TTRS on the floor of the Audi Forum.

I am in the back seat of a brand new 2010 Audi A8 doing 120 mph on a stretch of the autobahn between Frankfurt and the Neckar river. Driver Peter and I are tailing a BMW 1 Series 5-door hatchback — you know, the cooler looking one we don’t get in the U.S. I have no idea which model it is since the owner checked the badge delete option, but it has to be something turbocharged. This thing is seriously moving.

Still, it can’t stay ahead of our hard charging A8 TDI, so the BMW follows German lane discipline and pulls to the number two lane to let us by — at about 150 mph. I glance over at the driver and discover him to be a her — a good looking blonde lady, no less.

The crown jewel of Neckarsulm is the Audi Forum. It is also the first thing you see on approach, a massive three story customer reception and vehicle delivery center. Audi has two of these showcase buildings in Germany, here and at HQ in Ingolstadt. They are both modern interpretations of the many cathedrals sprinkled across the German countryside. Audi Forum Neckarsulm is the smaller of the two, but no less impressive. It’s a temple of glass and steel, designed to welcome devout four ring worshippers and impress and convert the non-believers….“Read The Entire Article Here”
