hi, I think the problem may be that the ipod files were either 1) copied on to the ipod without the album artwork already embedded or ii) copied to the ipod in a format other than MP3. Try converting your current ipod files to the MP3 format (if they already have the album artwork) and this conversion should embed the artwork files in the file. then when you connect to the ipod you should be able to see the embedded artwork.
I hope that helps - I just found that out and am trying it myself...

I Have an A4 with NAVI and an iPod connector in the glove box. I like to drive while hearing Sunday football over an ESPN app. I use a plug to plug extension cable to go from inside the golve box to the iPhone4 eith iOS 5. When I press the play button on the ESPN app, the announcers come through on any track on the Nav screen. All I needed to do was be sure the Music (old iPod) app wasn't playing.

I have a 2008 Audi S4 & my i-phone will not sync with the dock in the glove box
Is there an adapter cable or any other solution that will help. Do I need to go purchase an old school i-pod for this to work?
I've got tons of music, but can't listen to any of it through my i-phone
device
Very frustrating

Oh, and by the way, supposedly the latest Pandora app for iPhone, released in Oct/Nov2011, has full MMI v3 functionality, so all of these problems should no longer be problems. :) Hopefully also the case for Nav-plus.

Im about to test the same thing on a 2012 Audi A3 with Nav-Plus. The iPhone 4 (not 4s) works fine with bluetooth in the car, but havent tried using it with an iPod touch hooked up with the blue grommet cable. My 2008 S5 works that way fine - Nokia bluetooth phone with permanently attached iPod touch. But in my gf's A3 she wants to use her iPhone to play Pandora, and doesnt want it stashed away in the box, since she uses it for other stuff (like GPS redundancy, texting (at red lights) etc.). I'll let you all know how the pausing iPod app works, and also if there is any new news from the dealer if and when I go back.
