For the 2009 Audi vehicle line up, a majority of the vehicles will be equipped with L.E.D lighting (Light Emitting Diode). These L.E.D’s will be used in the headlights, turn signals and brake light assemblies. Some of the major advantages of this form of lighting are they consume less energy, the take up less space and are anticipated to last the life span of the vehicle.
With this form of lighting the Audi vehicle will be more visible on the road, making it a much safer in accident avoidance. Audi developed the first all L.E.D light in the Audi mid engine R8 and will continue to lead the way in automotive lighting technology with future vehicles.
