I just bought a Audi A4 Avant 2010 Model. I got the Bluetooth and MMI iPod adapter. However, I also like to listen to online radio stations via the iPhone Apps. Both system don't connect with the iPhone while playing music based on html or other music players (non MP3 format). Would this device solve the issue I have?

I've got a 2010 A4, doesn't this car have a 3G MMI? I see a couple of posts claiming this Bluetooth adapter works with a 2010 model. The specs say 2G only, so I have refrained from purchasing one. Is it just that the software update dongle is for 2G because the 3G already has the update included? I have a Windows Mobile phone with A2DP that I would love to use to stream my music content to the MMI with. Will this adapter in fact work?
Thank you,
Matthew

I have 2010 Q5, iPhone 3GS, and I am using Bluetooth adapter through AMI. No problem with pairing and streaming, however there is one nuisance. If the Bluetooth connection was lost between the iPhone and Bluetooth adapter, say when I walk away from the car; when I get back and turn on the car the music automatically starts from where it was left (if Media was selected) but the sound comes from iPhone speakers instead of the sound system. Even though under iPhone settings the device still looks like connected, I have to connect again by tapping on the device name on the iPhone screen to get the sound back to car's sound system. Any idea?

I have a 2007 A6 with mmi, but NAV is not installed, what does this involve and how much does it cost? Obviously, I have the rack in the trunk and I have satellite radio so I have the receiver. Looks like I need a DVD like unit to plug in. is it more complicated than that?

just wondering would it support via steering wheel to change music to the next track? pause play? via iPhone 3Gs bluetooth stream.

and would it also display the songs on to ur MMI screen?

Scott,
I've got an '06 A6 with MMI/NAV. What are my options for playing my Itouch through the system and not using an FM modulator?
Please advise - I read through the previous posts and am not sure this question was asked. Is it possible through bluetooth as I may have updated MMI software due to a blank out earlier this year.
I appreciate the time and effort you put into this site for other Audi owners trying to get the most out of their vehicle.

Scott,

Great site. I have a Q7 2007 3.6Pand 4.2P both 2007.I am planning to get this adapter for my Q's but my question is "Will it show the songs that are playing on the MMI screen? Or is it just streaming music and give you the same control that a Blue Tooth hi def headset would give you i.e play, pause forward reverse and increase volume?" Your answer here would be very helpful

Hi Scott, really appreciate you taking the time to maintain this site -- very helpful.

Can you confirm whether it's possible to use the AMI bluetooth adapter and the iPod connector at the same time? My guess is that the bluetooth adapter plugs in to the same AMI port as the AMI iPod cable. It would be a tough choice for me to have to pick one.

Thanks,
Chris

Scott,

I went to the dealership and bought the MMI USB cable and connected it with the USB cable that came with the Zune HD. The interface tries to recognize it but can't. I have had it attempt to show the first album then it stops and gives a message that it couldn't recognize it. Which cable were you thinking of and if you don't mind, do you know the part number? I am wondering if it is a software issue? Please advise.
