Great question! Ad Blue is Audis solution to clean the emissions of there Diesel even more. Each manufacturer has the same chemical solution that they ad to there larger Diesel passenger vehicles to clean the emissions; however Audi is the only one that can be done by the owner of the vehicle in an emergency, not just a technician.

impressed it manages 17mpg.

though, i guess it does only way slightly more than a ford fiesta…
