Earlier this week OneFastAudi was tagged in this photo on Facebook, an unfortunate site but it is good to see how well the Audi A7 held up after an accident. The Monroney is still hanging in the left rear window and luckily there is an Enterprise rental car agency nearby so the driver can get back to the Audi Dealer . Sorry to see this, we hope no one was hurt and make sure to drive safe everyone – have a great weekend!
The source of this article is German Car Blog who says: “Using a series of 3D projectors, a large map would take up residence in the unused space on top of the dashboard. Route guidance, destination information, infotainment options and a host of other features would all be controlled via hand gestures that are sensed by the AIDA 2.0 system.”
On the Senseable City Labs Youtube Channel it says: “The AIDA project (Affective, Intelligent Driving Agent), a collaboration between Audi’s Electronics Research Lab and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (SENSEable City Lab), is a platform comprising of an intelligent navigation system that aims to bring an innovative driving experience. We envision a navigation system that becomes familiar with both the driver and the city. Instead of focusing solely on determining routes to a specified waypoint, our system utilizes analysis of driver behavior in order to identify the set of goals the driver would like to achieve. Furthermore, AIDA involves an understanding of the city beyond what can be seen through the windshield, incorporating information such as business and shopping districts, tourist and residential areas, as well as real-time event information.”
Feels like the adventures never end! It was so exciting to see this right in the middle of the Munich Airport – an enormous, man-made mountain, coined Mt. Quattro ! I am all about Quattro everything, but this I had never seen! Even better than just seeing it however, was to be swept up into the cars and driven up this mountain and then rushed down again – to make things even more interesting, this may be the first video of the new 2012 Audi A6 in an accident . Luckily it was not a bad one – but “that is life,” as the driver of the A6 said in German. It was later translated to me by one of the instructors. Enjoy the video and Happy Friday!
Thank you Audizine for this video!!! To start with we love the video and the action footage but could not help but notice a hint of Eminem in the background music – maybe the producer of this clip also produced the Chrysler Superbowl commercial for the C200??? Regardless we love it! As stated on Audizine “A well produced promotional video for the all-new Audi A6 Avant. Footage contains both interior and exterior shots. Includes a soundtrack while the car goes tearing through a cityscape at night.” Now watch the two videos for your self and let us know what you think!!!
Long perceived by many to be the workaday alternative to more luxurious brands like BMW , Mercedes, and Lexus, Audi is now being positioned as the more attractive option. In this new spot called “Car Carrier” from Venables Bell & Partners , those rival brands are explicitly named in the voiceover, which declares that more people than ever are leaving those supposedly higher-end marques in favor of Audi. Although the spot is explicitly for the Audi A4, the model is never mentioned by name. And that’s because the creators want to lift the whole brand, not just the perception of the new model. For the entire article continue reading here! Make sure to check out the 15 second T.V. spot below!!!

Congratulations Sunset Audi of Beaverton for receiving the Magna Award for 2010. Dealer Magazine says “The annual Magna Society awards fit with long-range plans established by Audi and its franchise partners to make Audi facilities more exclusive. The number of dealership locations exclusively selling Audi models is expected to increase by the end of 2011 to 151 in the U.S. from 15 exclusive dealerships operating in 1999.” We love to see Audi recognizing the dealers that are doing a good job and making sure Audi service, sales and parts representation is top notch!
Today Audi USA has posted “Ever wonder where your Audi was made?” on their Facebook page wall with a link to a really nice interactive map of the Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and Gyor factories. This European Audi Headquarters tour is a nice new feature on the Audi USA site and we wanted to add some pictures of the cars they have parked at the Ingolstadt Forum – Remember that 95% of these cars we don’t have in the United States! Keep up the awesome work Audi on your Facebook page – we love to check in and see what new things you have posted!
A while back I Am Audi did a poll and asked our readers if they wanted to see more Matte color options from Audi. It has been over a month and nearly 72% of people said YES! and it looks like Audi is starting to pay attention with the R8 GT Exclusive Suzuka Gray metallic carbon matte color now available in the 2012 order guide and cars like this R8 GT in a flat bronze – looks like we are headed in the right direction! Thanks for your input!
As if there aren’t already so many great Audi’s on the road – check out these amazing ones in this super-secret undisclosed location in Germany from my trip! (Yes, I am still writing about it!) I could literally spend hours in this staff parking lot snapping shots and talking to random people about their cars – of course, this task could be made easier if I spoke even a small amount of German, but I don’t think they even realize how cool and rare the cars they have are! Seeing an R8 on the street here is excitement enough – but check out some of the color combinations here and my excitement level is off the charts! Most of these need no explanation but what are your favorites?! I have so many pictures so I thought this could be a banner picture day – let me know what your favorites are and I will be sure to keep the pictures coming! And if I haven’t said this before; if you are ever in Germany, be sure to check out the Audi Headquarters , it is well worth the trip and if you don’t already love Audi’s, you will certainly fall in love there! Enjoy.
Although I may be back from Germany physically – I think I am still at the Audi Forum in Inglostadt in my head!!! I captured these photos of the Audi Audi A8L W12 and for those of you who remember, this is the car from the Transporter movie (previous year’s model.) Not only was just being in Germany great – but seeing these cars in nature again reminds me why I love this brand so much! Can’t wait to go back to Germany again!
While in Germany we spotted an Audi Q3 pre-production test car- what a great looking vehicle! The Audi Q5 has been a tremendous success in the United States, much like the Q7 and if that is any indication, the Q3, likes its bigger brothers, will be a show stopper. The Q3, though having small dimensions, really has a large presence with its beautiful design and lifted look – you really don’t expect that when you first see it. We couldn’t get any pictures of the front end or interior because it was parked, but hopefully we get an opportunity to drive it and review it properly before it is released – if so we will fill you in!
We love this video! Filmed and planned in one day with Photographer Alexander Sperr – the music, choreography and message here make quite an impact. Follow the Leader is something different to other Format67 productions, but the real question is: what do you think?! We hope your enjoy it as much as we did.
We captured the sound of the beast!! While in Germany, at an undisclosed location, we were lucky enough to catch the start-up sound of the Audi RS3 ! We don’t think it will be long until we see the RS3 in the US – Audi has not confirmed this yet, but we believe we will most likely see it as a 2013 model and we are sure looking forward to it! Play the video below and listen to the sound of the inline 5-cylinder turbo for yourself!
We are on site in Munich Germany for the 2012 Audi A6 launch and we have had the opportunity to experience some of Audi’s cutting edge technologies first hand. We have driven the new A6 on the streets, back roads and even the Autobahn but these exercises were done on an abandoned airfield with some very nice equipment! This video is of the new Audi A6 with Pre Sence – the basic idea of Pre Sence is it is a proactive safety system that can anticipate imminent collision and react before it happens, even before the driver can react. In these video’s you will see both an inside and outside test of the Audi Pre Sence and we can tell you first hand that this system works very well – Enjoy and as always let us know what you want to see next!!!
We have driven the new 2012 Audi A6 and all we can say is WOW! Yesterday we spent the better part of the day driving both the new 2012 A6 3.0T as well the TDI quattro A6 in Germany on the Autobahn (Lifetime dream accomplished!) and we can say with 100% certainty that this car this is the new segment leader. The driving characteristics of the new A6 are so precise, every input, everything you ask of the car is done with such ease but at the same time the new A6 is so much fun to drive. Audi’s core values: sporty, progressive and sophisticated and that is exactly what the new A6 is – packed with features, extremely fun to drive and of course second to none fit and finish both inside and out. Audi is a company that has some phenomenal ambitions that they intend to achieve by 2020 as well a growing product line up that will be unmatched. We could go on and on about how great the new A6 is and tell you to be very excited for what Audi is doing right now but we won’t instead we invite you to contact us any time with questions you might have!
Well here I am at 12:30 on Tuesday before my flight departs from Portland International Airport (PDX) – flying to Amsterdam and then Munich, Germany. I will be in Munich for 3 days and every second of it will be Audi! That is a good thing because I Am Audi and Audi Wilsonville loves nothing more then to eat, sleep and dream the Audi Brand! This is a picture of me before flying out – I will of course be posting, tweeting and updating my status on Facebook from abroad so make sure to keep up. When I land back in Portland I will make sure to share a very tired and jet-lagged picture – I can’t wait to see the difference!
Everyone knows Monday is my Friday – but yesterday in the midst of my hectic day, the awesome Red Bull girls showed up at the Audi Wilsonville store to brighten it for me handing out free Red Bull to me, and everyone else in the office! I know this seems like a small thing – but it made my day and lets face it, a free Red Bull is just the thing you need for an afternoon pick-me-up!! I also asked the girls to take a picture with one of our cars – they agreed, so check it out. Just thinking how nice it would be if they also had Domino’s girls! Enjoy your day!
If you needed any more proof that Audi is as safe as it is fantastic to drive – this is it! Over the weekend Chairman of the ZAR Nightclubs in the UK faced a terrible crash in his V10 R8 Spyder – despite the pictures and obvious damage to the vehicle, both driver and passenger walked away with barely any injuries. While the passenger was knocked unconscious, the driver was able to pull her to safety and by the looks of it, both are lucky to be alive. Chairman Gayton McKenzie is an experienced driver – but we like to think the R8 had something to do with this great outcome as well. Proof that not only can you rock the coolest car – you can be safe as well in the face of an accident. Check out the full article on ZAR Online for some additional details. We are glad that both driver and passenger were unharmed – feel pretty bad for the banged up R8 Spyder though!
We are hoping for a beautiful next couple of days here in Portland and wanted to wish everyone a great weekend! Can you think of anything better then an R8 reaching top speed on the Autobahn…? Well so can we but never the less we always enjoy these video’s Have a great weekend and if you happen to get any pictures of your Audi n the sun make sure to share them with us!!!
Today we’re checking out our friends from the East Coast thanks to a picture captured by a passer-by in New York! This may very well just be New York Week since we have mentioned it so many times – but really, whats not to love about The Big Apple?! This is the face of the Park Avenue Audi Store in Manhattan. For all of us stuck at work today – and not in NYC, we thought we’d share. Spring in New York would be so nice, especially with a visit to this Audi haven!
In less then a week from now I will be attending the Central Launch Training for the all new 2012 Audi A6 in Munich, Germany. Coincidentally, today Benjamin (a great friend of mine!) forwarded me this picture sent to him by a co-worker of his who happens to be in Germany right now. The picture is of the 2012 A6 launch bus – Audi really spares no expense when launching a new vehicle. When I saw this picture of the Audi A6 launch bus it reminded me of the bus on Universal Soldier , one of my favorite childhood movies – so needless to say I am very excited to ride in it! If there is anything you want to see while I am in Germany at the launch event, please don’t hesitate to ask and I will do my best to capture it and share.
Today we saw the Audi Matryoshka Doll print ad; the creative work of DDB Barcelona and it made us think of other favorite automotive advertisements. Audi has introduced some very compelling advertisements in its time – we would dare to say Audi perhaps, leads the industry with creative marketing. We want to know what you think are some of the best Audi or automotive advertisements from the past. Please share them with us with the new Disqus feature below!
Can you name the color of this Exclusive Audi Q5? Another random and amazing Exclusive Audi spotting in the employee parking garage in Ingolstadt at Audi Headquarters last summer! Can’t wait to go back!!! Share pictures of your Audi or Audi’s in your area with our new Disqus conversation tool below, we would love to see them!
Today we dropped by Audi Headquarters in Herndon VA. and it was a great experience. We had an Audi conference in Herndon put on by Dealer.com and afterwords we had the opportunity to tour the Audi Forum and meet all those incredible people within Audi corporate that make it all happen! Audi USA Headquarters is a beautiful building tucked away at 2200 Ferdinand Porsche Drive – you would never even know it’s there; it so eloquently blends in with the surrounding landscape and is truly a picture perfect spot for such a dynamic group. We spent the afternoon meeting various individuals and of course loved every minute of checking out the cars they had on site – especially the hidden ones in the parking garage! We took a whole bunch of pictures so be sure to check them out! A big thank you to everyone at Audi for meeting with us today and giving us such a warm welcome. Enjoy!
In the spirit of traveling – we thought we would share a picture from our visit to the Audi Headquarters in Germany from our trip last summer. We came across a huge stash of photos of some really spectacular cars that we had forgotten to share – Oooops! We spent the entire day at the Inglostadt location and loved every minute of it! Check out the A5 Sportback we captured hidden in the staff parking lot!
Heading out to Herndon, VA at 8:00AM tomorrow morning to go and visit Audi Headquarters! We wanted to take everyone along with us – so we will be checking-in on Foursquare , posting to Facebook and Tweeting our whereabouts from Audi Headquarters for the next few days. Be sure to keep to tuned in to see all the sights from Herndon – as well as random Audi pics we will be posting from the road. Let us know if there’s anything you want to see along the way!
So with all of this new alternative media surfacing, such as the A7 Interactive Billboard in New York’s Time Square, we are left asking ourselves; “is this the future of advertising?” or can a creative, non-digital advertisement be just as effective? There have been some very good A7 Advertisement’s and Audi has been pushing the limit with the way it is marketing it’s products and the brand as of late. So the question is – do you prefer modern, social, interactive advertising, or do you miss the good risky print ads and billboards of the past??
We have just finished installing a fully tuned STaSIS Engineering exhaust system on a 2011 Audi S5 and it not only looks great but sounds incredible! We posted a picture of the exhaust outlets on the Audi Wilsonville Facebook page and people wanted to know how it sounds – so here it is!

Without question the new Audi Q3 will be Audi’s next big success, followed by the next generation A3! We could go into the Q3’s dimensions, market segment and competitive advantages but the truth is Audi is going beyond that, Audi is giving people what they want. The truth is everyone wants to look good and Audi is responding to that want by introducing the nicest, sportiest and most efficient cars on the market. We are excited for the Q3, we are excited to drive the Q3, we are excited for people to get what they want!

An article of just over 15 cars that “Uncle Sam Says No, You Absolutely Can’t Have” was just published by Wired , an excellent website that we try to follow daily! Some awesome cars made the list but one of the coolest was the 1995 Audi RS2 Avant 1995 Audi RS2 Avant ! Wired said “This bit of wagon-awesomeness is the RS2, Audi’s first “RS” (RennSport or “Racing Sport,” in English) vehicle. Based on the 80 wagon and built at Porsche’s famed Rossle-Bau plant, this beast would hit 30 mph from a standstill faster than a McLaren F1 road car. Zero to 62 came in a mere 4.8 seconds, thanks to the turbocharged 311-horsepower 5-cylinder engine. All that and you can carry a surprising amount of groceries. Alas, it is categorically ineligible for Show and Display because 2,891 were built — more than the 500 ceiling on Show and Display cars.”
