We can’t say for certain if this Audi A7 advertisement was intended for print or online media but what we do know is that we love it! Judging by the color and placement of the Audi logo we are confident that this Audi A7 ad is a draft or concept of a future piece from Audi. If you look closely you can see all the 7 deadly sins hidden in the background – Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy & Pride – obviously Lust sticks out, pretty awesome! . This Audi “A7 Deadly Sins” ad is a creative concept that could be used in so many different ways. It is obvious to us that with the Audi A7 Billboard advertisement Audi is really trying to push the creative envelope by evoking some emotion with these creative pieces. Bottom lime… we can’t wait to see the final product!!!

Audi USA posted this on their Facebook page and it brought back some amazing memories of when my wife and I went down to the Infineon raceway in Clifornia to race around the track in V10 Audi R8’s! “With the holidays fast approaching, there are only 9 shopping days left to add the Audi Sportscar Experience to your wish list this season.” Audi also put together this interactive social video player with clips from the Audi Sportscar Experience , check it out here: Audi R8 Sportscar Experience. Guys make sure to get the Audi Sportscar Experience for that special someone in your life, trust me they will love it!!!
Video game maker Atari released a trailer featuring the Audi vehicles that are part of its coming Test Drive Unlimited 2 game set for release Feb. 8. Unlike traditional racing games that focus on sports cars, Test Drive lets players try out a wide range of vehicles from sedans and SUVs to exotic sports cars. For Audi the game is part of a broad effort to raise consumer awareness of the brand and bring a hip, youthful element to its image. The car maker says it works closely with game publishers “to ensure that the Audi cars come as close to reality as possible.” The company says it has more than a decade of experience in entertainment product placements and has well-established links with the gaming industry.
Audi cars are included in many games on numerous gaming platforms, including Forza Motorsport 3 , Gran Turismo 5, the EA Need for Speed Series, Atari Test Drive Unlimited, Gameloft Mobile Games “Asphalt” and “GT Racing”, and many more. The company says having a presence in games is important because “interactive entertainment significantly influences media use in consumer leisure time and the proportion of the population playing video games has reached very significant levels.”
How do you describe the first production all wheel drive system on the Planet? Furthermore, how can you show what it is truly capable of? This is a nice video showing the power of Audi’s quattro all wheel drive technology and as described by The Audi Channel : “just what is quattro and how does it work? With some help from precision driving expert Paul Swift and and an Audi S5, Iwan Thomas finds out exactly what it can do” So there you have it – take the next 30 minutes and see why Audi’s quattro all wheel drive is the best in the world.
2011 Audi S4 Titanium Edition = Perfect… but if you could tighten it up a little what could you do? First tint the window’s but that’s a no brainier, tint makes any car look nicer when done right. Second and this is subject to opinion but the rear view mirirs are brusshed aluminum and would look nice wrapper in a flat black. Now lastly what if you Blacked Out the front grill plate delete and the 4 Audi rings? Thats right it would be sick! Before taking delivery of their new Audi S4 this client requested we install black rings and a blacked out front plate delete – no problem and for the record you have great taste! The first 2 pictures are the before and the last 3 pictures are after the work was completed.
This video as described by Audi “A gripping motors sports film stirring up a rush of emotions”. The 2010 DTM ( Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters ) season has come to an end and what a season it was. Watch the video below and leave your feedback on Audi in the motor sports arena and were you think Audi will go next with its racing technology. In my opinion Audi is making all the right choices with racing, understanding you don’t always have to “Win” to Win.
The Audi R10 and R15 were both very successful racecars however all good things must come to an end. Today Audi announced the introduction of their newest racecar the Audi R18 and I will tell you know Peugeot does not stand a chance. Without a doubt the Peugeot 908 HDi was a quicker racecar then the R15 but with the introduction of the R18 Peugeot will not be able to keep up. I will add, my co-workers always give me a hard time about my love for Audi, social and computer’s so when they saw the image below they all laughed at me for adding the caption. I think the idea of 2 racecars talking to each other is funny, and maybe that is weird but it still made me laugh. For the original post go to my my Facebook page. and let me know what you think.
First off I know these pictures were taken under optimal conditions and that you will most likely not have a pneumatic air gun to remove the lug nut’s and for that matter it will probably be dark, cold and rainy when you have replace your tire. Replacing a tire on an Audi is very similar to most other manufactures and there are really only a few steps. First remove the tire: While your vehicle is on the ground break the lug nuts loose but do not remove the lug nuts completely, you will then be able to lift (jack) up the vehicle. After you have placed the jack in the proper lift location under the car, raise the vehicle and remove all 5 lug nuts and carefully remove the wheel (I empathize carefully because the average wheel and tire weigh about 25 LBS (Pounds). Now you can take your spare and put it on and reinstall the 5 lug nut, but only tighten the lug nuts finger tight. At this point lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the manufactured recommended specs making sure to use the star technique – tighten one lug nut then tighten the lug nut across from it not beside it, hence the star analogy. Congratulations you have just successfully changed a tire on your Audi – now drive it into your local Audi dealer and have them check the work and reset your tire pressure monitoring system. I can’t take any responsibility if the process does not go as smoothly as pictured. if you are not comfortable performing this procedure call Audi Roadside assistance at 1.800.411.9988 or if you have an Audi R8 1.866.478.3456 – Good luck and contact me with any questions or leave a comment below.
It has been a while since we published the first supercharged badge article on I Am Audi and since then Audi has added the the 3.0T supercharged engine to the new S4, Audi Q7 and the new Audi A7. There are now 2 supercharged Audi badges to choose from, the carbon fiber badge as well as the red Audi supercharged badge. Both style badges look good and depending on what color of Audi you have either would work well. Installing a new badge or exchanging the badge from carbon to red or red to carbon is a very easy job, just make sure to be careful with the paint underneath.
First off thank you Telegraph UK for the insight and these words – Inspired by the Audi A5, legendary designer Peter Saville has created these five original pieces of art called light and motion. Peter was asked by Audi to find a way of pushing the boundaries of art and design, by using the car as a tool of expression. Utilizing a paintbrush of light, the result is these five very different images. Combining the skills of photographer Johnny Carr and precision driver Paul Swift, the car was put through its paces in the dead of night. As the car performed its choreographed maneuvers, the beams of light from the front and rear were captured by a Digital SLR 35 mm camera locked-off on exposures of 10-15 seconds.
The shoot took place at Battersea Power Station and produced a total of 33 images, the car passing underneath the camera at a height of 30 metres. Five of these images were selected by Peter to celebrate the Audi A5 and its unique ability to paint with light while in full motion. In my opinion Peter Saville is one of the most creative and talented designers I have ever seen. Make sure to watch the video so you can see for yourself what I am talking about.
The new Audi A6 is expected to arrive this Fall as a 2012 model. The Audi A6 has been the worldwide leader in sales in the midsized executive car segment do to its performance, styling and reliability; with the new A6 coming that trend is not likely to change any time soon. Many of the technologies we see in the new Audi A8 will be in the 2012 Audi A6 – and the dynamic driving characteristics will be greatly improved. Watch this video of the new Audi A6 and give us any feedback you have.
Vorsprung Durch Technik translation – Advancements through technology! Not only does Audi embody this European tag-line in every car they build but it is also used when developing in dealer support tools. Most recently the 2011 Audi A8 was released and to help showcase this amazing car iPads were sent to dealers to help present the many technologies available in Audi;s flagship sedan. Following the A8 iPad application expect to see simpler applications for the Audi A7 expected early 2011 and the new 2012 Audi A6 expected to hit showrooms fall 2011.
Brad Tonkin this one is for you!!! Audi has always had one of the best color pallets to choose from as well as one of the most advanced paint processes in the automotive industry. While on Facebook I found some pictures of this beautiful Glut Orange Audi R8 V10 – so of course I reached out for more information on this rare car. Glut orange is an Audi Exclusive color on the R8 and imagine my shock when I found out this V10 R8 has a V12 Q7 TDI sibling also in Exclusive Glut Orange – Wow! Here you are, enjoy the pictures and thank you for sharing these Audi’s with us and allowing me publish them on I Am Audi .
The long awaited Audi A7 is just around the corner and Portland Oregon is very excited! Portland is a city of very forward thinking, unique and progressive people and the Audi A7 is a perfect car for this area. The Audi A7 brochure has been released in a limited quantity – below is a glimpse inside. For more information on the Audi A7 or more detailed specifications reach out to your local Portland Audi store.
In my opinion ‘bagged’ Audi’s look so good and yes I know that it ruins the functionality in many ways, but the look is sexy… so that is enough for me! Companies like AccuAir have perfected air ride systems for most Audi models and I think they should be utilized by more people. I am aware that not everyone may have the same opinion on this – but take a look at the video below of the Q5 and you will see what I mean.
As they say why try to say something when someone else has already said it perfectly, in this case it is George from Fourtitude , one of the worlds leading websites on the four rings, also a huge inspiration for why I do this: “Michelle Mouton Flips Audi S1 During Demonstration Lap at Race of Champions – Best known for her star driving during Audi’s rallying era both on the rallying circuit and at Pikes Peak, Michelle Mouton nowadays runs and manages the Race of Champions on which we’ve been reporting this weekend. During today’s Nation’s Cup segment, Mouton flipped her Audi S1 rally car during a demonstration lap at the event. Hard into a corner, Mouton steered too hard into the curbing and the Audi rally car dug in, flipping over onto its roof. The French rallying great nearly got the car to roll back on to its wheels but it was stopped by a barrier and came to a rest on its roof looking surprisingly undamaged.”
“Competition in today’s Nation’s Cup was suspended while the crew cleaned up the track and Schumacher awaiting competion looked on from the seat of his car.Video captures the moment, including Schumacher’s response and an interview with Mouton following the incident. Mouton appears to be wounded only in pride. Schumacher and partner Sebastian Vettel went on to win today’s Nation’s Cup while Audi star Tom Kristensen was eliminated early in the competition. The individual competition begins tomorrow. Another Audi factory driver and regular to the ROC is Mattias Ekstrom. Though reigning champion, Ekstrom is not part of the 2010 competition likely because he is contesting the DTM season finale in China this weekend. Watch the segment with the Mouton crash below via YouTube and check out a few more photos of 2010 the Race of Champions in the – Fourtitude Photo Gallery ”
This morning we got all the details from UK Autoblog on the unfortunate at accident at the 2010 Race of Champions, UK Autoblog said “Formula One driver Heikki Kovalainen lost control of the Audi R8 GT he was driving at the Race of Champions on Saturday and smashed straight through the wall between the two tracks. It is hard to say which came off worse of the wall or the car, but thankfully Heikki was able to emerge unscathed after the incident. Fellow F1 drivers Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher finished as the eventual winners of the whole competition, which took place in Dusseldorf over the weekend. The video below shows the moment Heikki loses control while heading down the straight.” Kovalainen, though shaken up and unconscious is recovering well from the accident.
Thank you Daily Mail – UK for the images used.
Now in my opinion there is really no comparison between the Lexus LFA and the Audi R8. Like Tanner says about the LFA interior “It is like a video game” were as when you sit inside an Audi R8 you notice an attention to detail and high quality of materials used. Both the Lexus LFA and the Audi R8 are incredible sportscars just not the same category of sportscar. One of my favorite cars that I have ever owned was an Mitsubishi Evolution VIII – Fast, Raw and a ton of fun to drive. With that said one of my other favorite cars is the 2011 Audi S4 with the 7 speed S-Tronic transmission and in my mind you can not compare these 2 cars. Both the EVO and the Audi S4 are very capable like the Lexus LFA and the Audi R8 – they are just very different cars. Bottom line: like I was taught at Wyotech by my high performance instructor “Pick and choose your weapon”, there is a tool for every job. Enjoy the video!
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving – a day for the masses to go a little crazy. Audi has no black Friday sales, sorry, but they are are still suseptible to accidents as they drive to the big sales on this panic filled day. This picture of an A5 in a pinch reminds me people need to be a little more careful when they drive.
This was a very proud time in my life. Meeting the President of Audi America, Johan de Nysschen was a special moment for me for many reasons. When Johan spoke about Audi or the future of the Brand he did it with real conviction and integrity, he spoke in a way that showed he really believed in all of our efforts. When Johan and I spoke he listened and was attentive and at the same time provided feedback on everything going on at a dealer level. However I think what I really like about this picture is that Johan is smiling, to me that is rad. If the president of Audi ever sees this picture I am sure he will say “I don’t remember any of that” that’s alright though because if he see’s this picture it means he was on I Am Audi and that is a huge Win!!! P.S. Johan if you find your way here please leave a comment, my friends will never believe me.
Top Speed wrote “Jay Leno never seems to run out of cars to talk about, does he? If you’re half the auto enthusiast that he is, you probably wouldn’t get tired of talking about them either. It also helps that he’s got way more money than all of us combined, which means that he doesn’t settle for talking about cars, he actually goes out and buys them. In the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, the comedian finds himself looking at Audi’s benevolent beast, the Audi R8 V10 Spyder. Ever the gearhead that he is, Leno gives us the lowdown on the car and shares some pretty insightful thoughts on what he thinks of the R8. He also brings out his buddy, Justin Bell, to give us even more tidbits on the R8, including the time it takes for the soft-top roof to retract and stow away in its compartment, as well as the R8’s now iconic front fascia.”
“After showing a video of Bell testing the R8 on his own, Leno gets his turn behind the wheel and brings it out on the streets of LA. As he drives, he shares more nuggets of wisdom on what he thinks of the R8, including his admission that, as far as he’s concerned, the R8 Spyder is arguable the fastest supercar in the wet.” Enjoy the video!

FIS inspector Bob Dart along with Chief of Course Greg Johnson from Beaver Creek (Vail Valley Foundation) The World Cup returns to Beaver Creek! The birds of prey course is fast, technical and daunting. Last years winner, Aksel Lund Svindal claimed the title one short year after having a serious crash in the event. (see below) I can’t wait to watch the footage as this is always one of the most challenging races on the circuit. Get your lycra and bent ski poles out for this one! The Audi Birds of Prey races in Beaver Creek are officially a go thanks to a green light from the International Ski Federation (FIS) Friday afternoon. That means Olympic champions Bode Miller
(Franconia, NH), Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) and Audi FIS World Cup overall champion and 2009 Birds podium sweeper Carlo Janka of Switzerland are guaranteed to be in action Dec. 3-5 when the men’s World Cup swings into America. “Our partners at Vail Resorts have certainly made the most of the temperatures Mother Nature has provided,” said Michael Imhof, Vice President of Sales and Operations for the Vail Valley Foundation. “Thanks to the favorable snowmaking conditions and the natural snow we have received, everything is not only on track for a great weekend of racing at the Audi FIS Birds of Prey, but also for a great start to the ski season for everyone.” Beaver Creek Mountain, which has received over two feet of snow in the past week, is scheduled to open on Wednesday, November 24, while Vail Mountain opened to the public today. “We’re in the best shape on a Snow Control day in years,” added Chief of Course Greg Johnson. The FIS sends snow control inspectors to World Cup sites in advance of the competitions to ensure that good race course conditions exist or that the weather forecast is favorable for snowmaking. The 2010 Audi FIS Birds of Prey World Cup Race Week gets underway Wednesday, Dec. 1, with downhill Training. Competition kicks off Friday, Dec. 3, with the traditional Birds of Prey Downhill, followed by super G on Saturday. Designed to appeal to eco-conscious families, the Audi Q5 crossover features a parallel Hybrid system which consists of a 2.0-liter TFSI petrol engine and an electric motor. The four-cylinder produces 208 horse power and 258 ft. pounds of torque, while the electric motor contributes 44 horse power nd 156 ft. pounds of torque. All told, the system has a combined output of 241 horse power and 354 ft. pounds of torque. This allows the Q5 to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 7.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 138 mph. More importantly, fuel consumption in the normal cycle (NEDC) is less than 34 US mpg and CO2 emissions are under 100 grams per mile.
To get these impressive figures, the Q5 Hybrid has a 84 lb lithium-ion battery which stores 39 kW of energy. When stopped, in traffic, all drive systems are deactivated. As soon as the brake is released, the electric motor powers the vehicle at speeds up to 62 mph. Furthermore, it’s possible to travel up to 1.86 miles on electricity alone at speeds up to 37.28 mph. With the future huge success of the Q5 Hybrid expect more Audi Hybrid Vehicles in the future.

I am a real person. By popular demand I will be letting you into what goes on from day to day in my life, a piece of who I am. I love people, social medial, my job my family and especially my incredible wife Kansas. People always ask why I don’t talk about these things, so here it is Saturday morning another crisp beautiful day in the city of Portland. To unwind I will do just about anything, the other night Benjamin and I strapped on some roller-blades and rolled down our 8 level parking garage until my legs felt numb. I would not trade my life for anything.
From Audi on Facebook .”Stefan Sielaff, Head of Audi Design, takes some time to discuss a few of the latest models from the Audi USA stand at this year’s LA Auto Show. Hear what he has to say about the styling of the R8 GT and all-new A7″. Also make sure to follow Audi on Twitter instant up to date information that you can’t find anywhere else. I am pretty excited to see what comes from this years LA Auto Show – excited to see what Audi does next. Lastly make sure to watch the video below.
The BMW Z4 GT3 is a fixed-roof, race-ready version of the standard Z4. Instead of a straight six, the Z4 GT3 is powered by a 480-horsepower 4.0-liter V8 coupled to a six-speed sequential gearbox. Designed and engineered for the track, this BMW Z4 definitely means business – just look at it. You can purchase your own version for around $400,000, and after paying that price, you can have your new track assassin shipped to you… in pieces.
BMW ships the car out in boxes and it’s up to the proud new owner to put it together. Recently, Swedish race crew, Team West Coast Racing, did just that. The entire build took them 600 hours and they kept a camera rolling during that period. A time-lapse video captures the action as bare chassis becomes complete racer. 600 hours is 25 days, and 25 days is a long time to wait in between track sessions.

Three of the greatest automotive manufactures on Earth go head to head; Audi , Porsche and Mercedes Benz – add some icy mountain roads into the mix and see what happens… I would not be telling the truth if I said I thought that these three cars were in the same league because they aren’t. I think we all know what my preference should be – but after you watch these two clips you might just change your mind as well…
Alright Audi USA let’s get it together and press the envelope a little! I know we have done some unconventional things in the past with TV advertisements but I think it’s time to get a tad more creative. We have the product, the talent; and people in the United States are ready for it. Audi is on the tips of people’s tongue and with the arrival of the new A8, and shortly the Audi A7, we have to make a splash. Enjoy this video of an Audi A7 Billboard that was done by hand in Berlin – I think this time lapse is so sexy and the final product is absolutely amazing.
Well I have to say thank you to Fourtitude for introducing me to this and writing the original post that can be found HERE Also Mr. Diggles and my wife Kansas who have been a major influence on me and my new found love for Techno. Tinie Tempah is huge in Europe and “Miami 2 Ibiza” is one of his latest hits that he put together with Swedish House Mafia , a real success. Keep visiting the site for more tracks that are perfect for getting into the driving mood.
Now when you think of rally what car comes into your head …. Subaru, Mitsubishi and of course Audi . Audi has not competed in Rally from a factory standpoint for over 20 years and yet this company is what people think of when you mention rally. When I saw this concept Rally Car that resembles an Audi Q5 I was pretty excited. Now regardless of if Audi gets into Dakar or WRC makes really no difference to me I will just be happy to see this company get back in the saddle back doing what they pioneered, rally.
You are either going to love me or hate me, if I were in your shoes I might lean towards hate. I highly doubt that this is real wood, most likely it is a sticker over top of the original Audi R8 Side Blade , regardless I like it. Feel free to hate me now, I have always liked when people try change no matter what the result. This actually kind of hit home, recently I had my iPhone 4 wrapped in carbon fiber but I was leaning towards a wood wrap, I liked the wood I just liked the carbon more. If you can think of a side blade that you think would look good and has not been done let me know. I think a camo storm trooper side blade would look pretty awesome!
We can’t seem to get enough of Ken Block’s Gymkhana videos. The skill and exactness necessary to entertain us for but a few minutes of magical drifting confounds us, but the formula that leads to success for Block and his crew comes down to plenty of practice and preparation. And if practice is needed to create a few well-planned stunts, just imagine how much work goes into competing in Rally GB. As this post-jump video proves, even Ken Block can lose control.
In the footage, Block is, along with co-driver Alex Gelsomino, testing his Ford Focus Rs rally car at the M-Sport proving grounds in some pretty inhospitable conditions. The dirt trail is covered with a few inches of slush, while the surrounding terra firma is coated with a hefty helping of snow. Block’s in-car camera shows the world-class driver slicing and dicing through the challenging course with relative ease until… well, until he loses control. Hit the jump to watch the video yourself. The incident occurs at about 1:45 into the clip, followed by a second shot at the carnage courtesy of a second camera mounted to the driver side rear quarter panel. Thankfully, it appears both driver and navigator were uninjured and the team lived to race another day – with another car.

A good friend of mine, though we have never met Mike Juergens recently had an awesome experience with Audi . Now Mike and I talk pretty frequently and he said “Audi went above and beyond I just want that to be recognized” So that is why I am publishing this. I admire Mike for taking the time to write this as well I want those who create these amazing experiences be acknowledged. Thank you again mike and thank you to everyone at Audi who goes above and beyond.
“My love affair with Audi started a long time ago. An old neighbor use to drive his Sport Quattro everyday past my house. I grew up in a rural area at the time wasn’t densely populated. Part of the road was even unpaved and he use to have a blast ripping through the unpaved section of the road as fast as he could. I still remember the sound of the car as it passed by. I knew someday I wanted to own a machine like that. Fast forward 2008 and the year I was about to graduate college. I had been working full time 3 years at that point. I was making good money and decided it was finally time to visit the Audi dealer. I had been driving my 1.8T for four years at the point. The first thing I saw was a brand new Red B7 S4. The customer was just picking it up for the first time. I knew since I first heard an S4 start up and that exhaust note I knew I had to have one. At that point I was just getting my financially independent self settled. I had to pass on the S4 and pick up an 2008 A4 2.0T. I knew someday I would be able to find a job that would allow me to afford the monthly payments.
Also, around that time rumors of a newly designed engine, Quattro, system and transmission started to spread across the Audi forms and web. I knew that’s what I wanted. I had found that job two years later and just in time for my lease to expire. I strolled into the Audi dealer in February and I knew exactly what I wanted. I had been emailing back and forth with the specialist for a few days talking options and pricing. We finally had it all nailed down within 5 days and the order was placed for a 2010 Audi S4 S-Tronic Premium Plus w/Silver Alcantara Seats, Navigation, Bang & Olufsen Sound, Sport Differential and Carbon Inlays. The waiting started. I received the news in March that friends and Americans all around me had been receiving. My current position was being eliminated to save the company money. My world just collapsed. Luckily my boss was incredible and let me stay on until I could find a job. I found one within two weeks and it sealed the deal. The S4 would be mine when it was finally delivered. Two days before I was supposed to pickup the S4 that A4 was keyed along with several other cars parked around mine. I was devastated but my incredible dealer came up with a solution that let me take the S4 and they would take car of the A4. This is where Audi customer service really started to stand out for me and I knew I would be a customer for life.
It’s been seven months and about 5,500 miles since I took delivery of the S4. There is so much about the car to love. The acceleration, traction, and braking ability of the car are incredible. The exhaust note under hard acceleration is amazing, especially with the S-Tronic, with a little extra burble with each up-shift. The sport suspension keeps the car well planted and very smooth. It can be a bit harsh driving on these awful Boston streets. But who needs coffee? The S4 is the perfect wake up during my morning drive. Two weeks ago I was stopped at a red light. It was lightly raining and the roads where a bit slick. The average driver and car would be able to handle it without a problem. Unfortunately for me the driver that was moving up behind me was talking on his cellphone. I didn’t know at the time but the tires on his car where almost bald. I looked up in my mirror and saw him approaching and figured it would be a typical thing. I put my eyes back on the set of lights and waited to be on my way. Suddenly I feel jolt and hear screeching tires. He had just hit the back of my car. It took me a second to realize what had just happened. I pull off to the side of the road and he follows me. His car had dove under mine as he had tries to stop and the exhaust took the impact with a few scratches on the bumper.
I drop the car off November 3 at the auto body shop expecting to be back in a few days to pick up the car. I take my insurance provided rental and head home. They call me the next day to say Audi doesn’t have any of the parts in stock and it will be about a week to have them shipped from Europe. They called me back on the eighth to say that the exhaust would be another week from the tenth. They said Audi has been using up the parts on the production cars and there was no extra stock. Like any web2.0 intwined person I update my twitter about the delay. Audi messaged me back within minutes and was ready to help. With their help the parts where at the auto body shop this morning. We are just waiting on a few more brackets but the car will be ready by Friday. The Audi customer relations agent went above and beyond for me and I couldn’t be happier. They reminded me that their help is always a phone call away. This was the second agent that I’ve deal with and it’s always been a pleasure. If there is something that you feel is not right about your car speak to them and they can always figure out a way to help you.”
Audi’s website has revealed some details of the upcoming Audi Q5 Hybrid Hybrid , which is expected to debut at the Los Angles Auto Show commencing on November 18. Under the medium-sized SUV, the car features a 2.0-litre TFSI engine – similar to the Volkswagen Golf GTI engine, offering 150kW of power. This engine is then backed up by an electric motor which is capable of contributing an extra 34kW of power and brings the total torque figure up to 480Nm.
This combination will improve the fuel economy, although Audi hasn’t released any official numbers yet, Audi does say the Q5 Hybrid will emit, on average, just 170 grams of CO2 per kilometre. Not bad for a four-wheel drive. Reports say the car will still showcase very reasonable on-road performance as well. Acceleration times of 7.1 seconds for the 0-100km/h sprint can be achieved. The Audi Q5 Hybrid will go on sale some time in 2011. In the meantime, check out the overview video below for a closer look.

Alright, the question of how to pair the new iPhone 4, Android, or any other Bluetooth capable smart-phone has been coming up lately. Not surprising since the process on how you would pair Bluetooth on Audi’s with 2G MMI or Nav Plus is different then the new Audi 3G MMI – (if you have not seen the article on pairing with 2G MMI, here it is Pairing Bluetooth with 2G MMI ).
So here we go; first, the pairing process has to be done within 5 minutes of turning the ignition on, and of course, for safety reasons do it while the vehicle is stationary and in park. Put the key in the ignition – the car does not have to be running but the ignition has to be on. Second, press the “TEL” telephone button on the MMI. It is the lowest right function key. Third, you will need to get your smart phone ready for pairing. Go into the setup or settings function on your phone and select “Bluetooth.” Make sure it is on and in discoverable mode. Now your Audi will “search for new devices” and will find your phone. When your Audi has discovered your phone it will ask you to “accept” – make sure to accept by pressing the center dial on the MMI. You will then be asked to accept hands free and a pin – do so and make sure to remember the pin. Take the pin number that the Audi gave you and put it into your phone under Audi MMI xxxx (all pin numbers are different, as well as MMI numbers, so don’t worry that yours is not the same). You have a limited time to enter the pin so make sure to do it in a timely fashion or the pairing process will not take. That’s all there is to it – you have just successfully paired your phone to your Audi, great job! Now some notes if it does not pair – make sure your phone is on the list of compatible phones as well, try not to be parked around other cars with Bluetooth. Also if anyone else is in the car, have them turn their phones off.
The last picture is picture of memory available through the 3G MMI – there is a lot. Also, all functionality of the Bluetooth is displayed between the tachometer and speedometer as well as the MMI screen. If you have thousands of contacts in your phone it may take a minute or two to complete the upload. If you have any questions let me know and I will do my best to help you out. One final note: I would like to mention I did this entire post, including pictures on my iPhone – Thank you Apple for creating such an amazing product!
