The 2010 Audi Q7 has captured the United States and compelled us to want so much more of TDI and Diesel power. Russia has always wanted more Audi in any form and this video will show you why. We have had the opportunity to see demonstrations like this from the Four Ringed Auto manufacturer but now we can. Truly amazing the power that the 2010 Audi Q7 is putting through the bullet proof Audi pioneered drive train; there might be nothing this Brand can’t do. Don’t get me wrong we will most likley never see the 500 Horsepower V12 Q7 Diesel but we can always dream.
Positive Press, It surrounds us! Read what the world has to say and it is no wonder our market share climbs. With all the positive Press surrounding the new 2010 Audi S4 it is no wonder we are excited about this car. I don’t have to tell you about the 7-Speed S-Tronic transmission, rear sport differential or the incredibly efficient and potent supercharged 3.0T power plant in this cutting edge Audi. What I will say is that Audi is stepping out of there comfort zone and letting people know we make the best cars in the world. We are not going to comprises anywhere, and as for the competition bring it on!
In case you cant read the small font here is a link to Audi World, a great place to mingle with other Audi enthusiasts. I woke up this morning and checked my Audi references as I do each morning and there we were the 6 finalists for the Audi Western Regional Walk Around competition. Thank you Audi for your continued support as well as everyone from Sunset Imports for helping me practice each day, a special thanks to James Fitzpatrick for making sure I was on my game.
The more I watch soccer (football) the more I fall in love with this sport. I figure the rest of the world must know something I don’t. My wife and I have been hockey fans forever, go Canucks! and basketball is our favorite because it gets us out of the rainy Oregon weather that is just around the corner. The Portland Trail Blazers have a real chance of taking it all the way this season and we will be there every step of the way. Although Channing Frey isn’t with us under the bright lights of the colosseum this year, we wish him luck with the Suns. I want to thank Benjamin Diggles of the world famous Mr. Diggles Dot Com for such amazing web designs, and helping us with the pursuit of our passions. If you have a favorite Soccer team give me a reason to follow them because I am lost with this game and need some direction. Thanks again for following I Am Audi and keep reading.

And for the first time an automobile manufacturer could be securing a third consecutive DTM title – because Audi driver Timo Scheider will have the first “matchball” in France.

If you were in a boxing ring and were to combine a heavy weight with a light-weight, the heavy weight would almost always win. Historically, the same has been true on the racetrack with larger engines trumping small displacement motors. No longer is the case. Audi has proved that the light weight can infact come out on top. With our smaller, more potent engines and lightweight technology we are gaining ground in our US market. So watch out for this scrappy little lightweight!
If you can’t beat ’em – join ’em!!! Audi In Hollywood is nothing new. If you are a movie star or celebrity or simply want your movie to be a hit at the box office, it has to feature an Audi. Now since Audi is the star in all these films, they figured they would get into the position to make movie magic themselves. The best of both worlds – oh ya I should mention, Digital Domain , you nailed it! – enjoy!

Welcome to the Audi Center for sound much like the Audi Haptics Department only focused not on touch and feeling but on hearing. This is by no means a new video but the same, if not more attention goes into our Audi’s today then ever before. Most intriguing about this video was how they compared Audi’s from the 1930’s to Bang & Olufsen and Bluetooth equipped Audi’s of the present. The same principles of sound exist today as they did almost 100 years ago all Audi has done is progress. Enjoy the video and remember the next time you drive your Audi what went into every single detail.

Valeo’s Tri-Xenon lighting technology is being launched as a world first on the new Audi Q7. In addition to traditional high and low beams, the module has a “highway” function activated at 115 km/h which doubles the range of conventional Xenon low beams (from 80 m to 140 m), without dazzling other drivers.
Audi leads the way when it comes to style and when you add the sports package to any of our vehicles you increase that style even more. Manual transmission 2010 A4’s are not easy to come by because the European’s keep all of these vehicles for themselves but when we do get them, we build them right. Take for example the vehicle below 2010 A4 Quattro with Prestige trim package, 3G MMI and the sport package. I love the look and the customer is going to really love how the new A4 handles. Thanks again everyone for following I Am Audi dot com.

With the release of videos like this from Audi Corporate it is no wonder why I am excited! Though most likely we will never see the Audi A5 Sportback in North America, I am still super excited about the idea. Thank you Audi of America for releasing videos like this with behind the scenes footage – we’ll take whatever we can get! With hopes of the A7 on the horizon, these glimpses into the future give us hope for the brand and product development down the line.
Every year Sunset Imports in Portland Oregon, the local Audi Porche Dealer put on a all Porsche swap meet for everyone to enjoy. This year, 2009 seemed to be even better then ever before. We decided to include a mini car show so people could show off their Porsche of any vintage as well have them judged by all the spectators. As a car enthusiast I really enjoy wathching everyone else and their passion for the Porsche product, it really show at events like this. I want to thank Sunset Imports Parts Department for putting this on and keeping it going every year.
If you have ever seen any of the commercials Audi has released then you know they are at the forefront of digital media. Audi has always amazed me with their creative advertising and media efforts. Their “outside of the box” approach really reminds me of how progressive the Audi Media development is. This commercial came out and I just had to find out how it was made. So here you go: The Making of a Beautiful Commercial, staring the Audi R8. Digital media has always held a special place with me, so watch this video and see what you think.
Delivering an R8 is always a great experience for me because the client has usually been waiting anxiously for some time to get their new vehicle, this particular R8 was no different. After special ordering the Jet Blue R8 we were not sure if it was going to be a 2009 or a 2010 so when it showed up as a 2010, both the client and I were very excited. The first 2010 4.2L R8 that we had seen and with this color combination it was a real nice surprise. The next day I recieved a phone call from this new R8 owner, he said ….. “you never told me during the delivery ….” I replied, “I am sorry what did I forget to mention.” He laughed and said, “you never told me it would take me an extra hour to do everything, everyone wants to talk about the R8!” Without going into too much detail I will leave you all with a qoute from another satisfied Sunset Imports client, as well as some pictures I wanted to share…
“Thanks for facilitating this (and the whole thing!). I can see why they call the R8 a “halo” car for Audi: when you’ve got one, you’re so pleased that the glow of your satisfaction extends to Audi, Sunset and all the people who’ve helped you acquire this outstanding product…..and deservedly so!!”
With the anticipation of the Audi A5 Sportback Audi has been releasing video clips for everyone to see, and we are watching. I have had an overwhelming amount of interest in the A5 sportback from people who want more and more information on this future Audi product. What I recommend is if you have not been to Europe, or you just want to go back, book your flight for sometime in the Fall because they will be in the streets of Ingolstat. Also, if you wanted to buy a second ticket and have some company along the way, shoot me an email because I would love to see it for myself!!!
09/15/09 – What could it be? I know Audi is the pioneer of Diesel and FSI (Fuel Strait Injection) but what does Audi know about the world of Electric? I suppose we will find out, but do we want to? I have owned hybrids and I have driven my fair share of Audis and I know the only way to describe current hybrids is “yawn.” Now I have to go back and say when Audi does something they do it better than anyone else; Quattro, Lighting Technology, FSI, Diesel and so on. My guess is, if Audi is going down the path of electric “Stop + Start” then they will do it like no one else and we will love it. Let me know if you have any ideas or insight on what this “Electricity and Power Run Free and Untamed” is all about. Thanks again everyone.
We all know and understand the benefits of the 3G MMI system by Audi, but if you need to catch up go to (3G MMI Reference) to get up to date. The new 2010 A6 has a 300 horsepower supercharged V6 engine that is a ball to drive but also 2010 Audi A6 Technology really is the standard for the industry. Although the iPod adapter, S/D card slots & DVD player are all standard with the upgraded 3G, they are located in a different spot than other Audi’s. Take a look at how the 2010 A6 has the media devices configured in a different location tucked away neatly inside the glove box. If you are looking at the glove box and wondering where the handle is, don’t- the door is opened with a button on the dash creating a extremely clean look.
Well after a few months of studying and practicing for the Walk Around Competition on the Certifed Audi Warranty Program and the Q7, I am finally done. After winning the dealership level and Western Region portion of the “Q Factor” Walk Around I advanced to the regional finals in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada to compete for Sunset Imports . My wife and I had the good fortune of having a weekend of ‘all-Audi!’ surrounded by people of all levels that really know the product and love the brand. While this was clearly a “work-trip,” lets be honest, its Vegas and we all know what that means: late nights, blazing heat and loads of fun! We also all know that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, so I will leave it at that. Suffice to say that a great time was had by all and I am certainly hoping I will have the opportunity to make it back there next year.
Want to just say thanks to everyone that helped put together this trip and made it such a great time. Also, thanks to the judges and “client” who placed me in the top three. It was a great experience and an opportunity to exercise my public speaking skills! It was definitely more nerve racking with the hot lights of camera.
Anyone who knows me knows that Vegas is one of my favorite places to be so I am certain I will be there long before next years competition to escape the rains in the Northwest and enjoy the warm Vegas air! Thanks for visiting I Am Audi
It is here! The 2010 Audi Q7 and I for one, love the look!!! Could it be the aggressive S-Line styling? The adaptive air suspension? Honey comb grill? Single piece front grill? Or the LED lighting? I think it is a bit of everything tied into one. The 2010 Q7 is the right vehicle for a lot of families who need third row seating but don’t want to give up the sporty drive. Most people looking at the 2010 Audi Q7 did not just come from looking at a mini van and if they did they are happy they did not buy the van. Audi’s 2010 Q7 drives so well and handles like no other Sport Utility on the road, with the added benefit of top safety ratings and drop dead gorgeous looks. With the overall Audi Q7 set aside, this particular Q7 has a new color for 2010, Orca Black, and all I can say is WOW! This color really looks like the color of an Orca killer whale and when it is polished it reminds me of a fine tuxedo. Enjoy the pictures and all the fine details Audi has introduced on the 2010 Q7, like the 3G MMI, details on the seat controls and even the 4.2L V8 engine cover. No one knows attention to detail like Audi. Thanks for visiting I Am Audi and I will see you all soon.
Well since we are on the subject of Audi Diesel, I supose it is a great time to introduce everyone to my next project – Audiesel . Audiesel will be a place for the Audi Diesel TDI® owners and enthusiasts to grow and share their passion for the product. So here you are, a video on my future vision of Audi in the United States with full diesel intelligently combined with our lifestyle. If you own, or plan on getting a Audi Diesel product, please leave a comment so we can share our excitement.
As part of my morning routine, after stepping through the doors of Sunset Imports I log on to my computer and check out the latest Audi news on Fourtitude , a great Audi resource. Pricing for the 2010 Audi A3 TDI had been published and the Diesel version of the Audi A3 is only $1,200 more then the gas engine. That is amazing news! Below is a compressed version of the article. To read the whole thing, just visit the origional source – Fourtitude News

Audi has always supported its ABS (Audi Brand Specialists) with all the necessary tools to ensure we both promote and sell our product in the best fashion. I use the term “best fashion,” very humbly. Bottom line, Audi knows right now that they are a strong brand that’s growing even stronger, and all the publications seem agree. I came into the office and on my desk was an article put out by Motor Trend Magazine that had the crossovers, the newest trend of vehicle coming into the market, and the Audi Q5 was praised over all others. This article is worth reading if you are interested in an ‘Import High Group Crossover’ and in the market for a new vehicle. Thanks again everyone, and if you have had the opportunity to drive any of these vehicles and would like to share your impressions, feel free to leave a comment for everyone to read.
The Audi Supercharged badge is a great looking piece that would compliment any Audi with the new 3.0T engine, such as 2010 Audi A6 or 2010 Audi S4 . Now, if you remember from my past post, the new 2010 S4 comes with the 3.0T emblem that is definitely nice, however I like the supercharged badge more. The supercharged badge that I am featuring has the carbon fiber inlay (Limited Edition) however, you will have the option of a red backing on the emblem in the near future, Contact I Am Audi .
After taking delivery of the new 2010 Audi R8 V10 the client was extremely excited and wanted to share his experience and initial driving impressions. From an appearance stand point the Audi R8 V10 has a larger rear lower defusser, larger sideblade for cooling, as well as full L.E.D (Light Emitting Diode) headlights. Now there are many other differences, those are just the most apparent (excluding the new R8 V10 style wheels & V10 engine.) We are lucky enough at Sunset Imports to build relationships with our clients that give them the opportunity to share their experiences and have them heard. No matter how you look at it, the Audi R8 V10 could not disappoint, even if you wanted it to. So enjoy these pictures and watch for this new Audi owners input in the future, as well, thank you so much for visiting and all your comments.
North America need not apply, sorry. The new B8 2010 Allroad B8 2010 Allroad (2009 + A4 Body Style) unfortunately at this time has no plans to come state side. However, we can all take design queues from its beautiful look. Car And Driver was lucky enough to get their hands on the 2.0T version of the 2010 Allroad and had a lot of great things to say. If we ever did see the new Allroad it would most likely be the gas version and not diesel variant (so sad!) Well I will leave it at that and we can all just look and wish! Thanks again for visiting.
I have heard it said that the new B8 (2010 +) S4 is understated and resembles the look of the 2009 S-Line A4. I agree with the latter part of this statement, however I can not disagree more with the initial part. The new 2010 S4 is bold and the body truly comes to life when you understand what kind technology is under the surface; in short I think it is perfectly executed. With the new design you not only get a great looking Audi you also get the advantage of the Audi MLP (Modular Longitudinal Platform) that creates that perfect balance of extremely functional Quattro sedan that is very fun to drive. Unless you have had the privilege to drive the S4 from back in the day to the Bi-Turbo V6 and back to the heavy V8, you could really not know how great the new S4 handles. As far as design, Audi is not BMW and it is not Mercedes or any other manufacturer. Our design stays true and functional and the look is “Audi”. As far a driving impressions, they are to come. I wanted to share pictures for now and clear the air a bit on the look and true versatility of the new 2010 Audi S4. However I have heard the 2010 S4 is very quick! I will keep you all posted on personal impressions and feedback from others who have put the 2010 S4 through its paces. As always thank you all for keeping up with I Am Audi and if you have any question please “Contact Me Here”.
The original Auto Union was established in 1932 and the four interlocking rings have represented the Audi Brand ever since. In 1965, four years before Audi was introduced to the United States, the brand was revamped. 2009 is the celebration of the 100th year of Audi and again we see the logo evolve with a more modern, contemporary design. The sans-serif font is a much cleaner font, and the Brand name “Audi” has been shrunk and is now set to the bottom left of this ageless four ring emblem. As far as the emblem is concerned, it has not been reborn, just polished with a more authentic look to represent that of the chrome emblem that distinguishes our Audi Product. As this logo appears everywhere our brand does expect to see the new design and stunning look on everything that is Audi.
If you are a car enthusiast and you like to keep up on the newest products then you know that Car And Driver Magazine is a great resource. Now something I have always admired about Car And Driver Magazine is their ability to stay objective to the task at hand without bias to any one product. So often when reading one magazine, over time you will find that the author will pick a make or model and praise without justification. With Car And Driver you get, not only straight fact represented by hard numbers, but also opinion from the first hand. This particular article I found to be compelling not only for the obvious (the Q5 is #1) but also the details about the other makes and how they compare. Take the time to visit the Car And Driver website and subscribe to the magazine, or subscribe for the car enthusiast in the household, they will love it. Feel free to visit the source of this great Comparison article and spend some time on the site, it will be well worth your time. As always thank you for keeping up with my site and I think you for visiting!
Its that time again and the entire sales department at Sunset Imports in Portland, Oregon are overwhelmingly excited, the new 2010 Audi S4 has been released! Now this is a very special time in history for Audi with everything going on in the industry, and Audi has stepped out of the box and really brought innovation and creativity to the table with this B8 S4. When I say Audi has stepped out of the box, I am referring to the idea that they are replacing the conventional theory of bigger is better and developing supercharger and unnatural induction. In the automotive world, displacement, number of cylinders and liters have always been equated directly to performance; but not any more. Audi, like with previous model S4’s, is getting back to its roots of forced induction and really putting that power on the ground with the new sports differential and Audi Drive Select. Take a look at the hard facts and you will see the new 2010 S4 is poised to be the leader in this segment. The question has to be asked, if the Audi S4 was always the BMW M3’s competition, what is to come from Audi? RS5 is on the tip of everyone’s tongue and I can’t wait to see it!
The challenge that Audi faces in the U.S. is well known: we need more premium-segment consumers to know our brand and products, and to add Audi to that final shopping list when they are in the mood to buy a new vehicle.
Over the past few years we’ve closed the gap with our key competitors in many ways. Advertising, marketing, PR, dealership environments, and new, high-quality products have helped raise consumer awareness, opinion, and consideration to record levels, as measured by third parties. The coverage that we receive in the media is at the highest levels. And sales, the most important measure, rose to a record in 2007, the last full year before the current recession began. Even in this current economic environment, Audi’s performance is better than all IHG competitors.
Yet whenever I meet someone new, all too often one of these questions is posed: “what’s happening at Audi”, “what’s new at Audi”, “how is Audi doing”. I’m sure that I’m not alone.
I find that it’s better to be prepared for such questions than to rely on my mind for a spontaneous response. I also believe that a team of employees and dealers so armed with an “elevator speech” could help increase awareness to even higher levels.
So the question … “do you have your elevator speech?”
To begin with, an elevator speech is either a stand-alone statement or a way into a longer conversation. I don’t know who first coined the phrase, but the meaning is simple: if you are on an elevator for the average ride how would you respond to one of the questions above.
I find the best versions are concise, planned and practiced. Don’t mistake that for trivial, stale, and boring. Quite the contrary, I want my new friend to walk away, even after a brief conversation, wanting to know more about Audi.
So, if you had sixty seconds to talk about Audi, what would you say?
Audi is successful. Across nearly every market, including here in the U.S., Audi has emerged as one of the most exciting stories in the automotive landscape. AUDI AG posted its 13th consecutive record of year-over-year growth in both sales and profits. In the U.S., Audi’s market share – a measure of consumer awareness and confidence – is at record levels. On that score, Audi has passed Volvo and trails Infiniti by just 1,300 sales this year. Clearly those profits have been invested wisely, because …
Audi is the hottest luxury brand. It’s not a stretch to argue that Audi has launched the most exciting products of any brand during the past four years. Think back to 2006 and start with the RS4 , Q7, S4, S6 and S8. Then keep moving through the next three years with the all-new R8, TT coupe and roadster, S5 and A5, Q5, R8 V10, and the clean diesel Q7s and A3s. (Isn’t it fun to drive products that cause people to gawk and spontaneously snap camera phone pictures of your Audi?) Back in 2008, AUDI AG committed to an investment of over 11 billion Euros between 2008 and 2012, with the majority of that investment earmarked for new products. Despite the economic situation, Audi has kept pace … and significant announcements are coming yet this year. With moves like this …
Audi is challenging the definition of luxury. Three years ago during a speech, Johan de Nysschen said that “it’s time for Audi of America to stop being so understated and be a little more bold and a little more American in telling our story here.” And we have. In speeches, advertising, public relations and product positioning, Audi has challenged the incumbent luxury brands directly. We’ve served notice that we are ascending and they are descending because we are the brand of progressive luxury. And ever since, the competition has reacted to Audi. Our goal is to be the premium luxury brand by 2015. That doesn’t mean that we seek volume leadership, but rather consumers will regard Audi as the best brand with the best products.
Final advice: In delivering your elevator speech, be confident, poised and ready, so that the next time someone asks “So, how’s Audi doing?” there’s no hesitation.
The power of Pure Design is more of a concept than a goal because the principle idea should always be evolving. However, every now and then an automotive company will come close to that moment of perfection of design and Audi’s time is now. For the past year Audi has released the most beautiful cars in its history and as our market share grows the world seems to agree. With performance, design, safety, versatility and the best value, there is no time like the present to be in the Audi family. Watch this video and without any vocal speech it will show you what the Audi A5 Sportback embodies as well as what the Audi brand represents. Enjoy and like always thank you so much for keeping up with www.iamaudi.com and let me know by leaving a coment below what you think of the Audi A5 Sportback design.
