Sport Package – 2009 A4

Jan 9

When you do not need the S-Line equipment or you just simply prefer the look of a different style of wheel you have a new option; now available is the Sport Package. The great thing about the Sport Package is the aggressive look it gives to the A4 without huge jump in trim level. Unlike the S-Line option the Sport Package is available with any trim level. With Audi anyone can enjoy the sporty feel of our A4 without “having” to add unwanted options.

Is the sport package obviously more stiff than standard suspension?
I am thinking about the avant sport pacakge, but not sure about how stiff car will be. I currently have a 2006 A3 premium package. How would you compare the stiffness of these two?

thank you,

From mwalch on January 11th, 2009

mwalch, The sport package suspension is approx: 30% stiffer then the standard suspension on the 2009 A4. the sport package would be firmer then your 2006 A3 but not uncomfortable, you loose body roll and gain some road feel.

The question is, the diff between S-line and Sports Package in terms of the body styling?

Are they the same styling? because I would change the suspension and wheels anyways.

Do you know whats included in Sports package besides the different suspension and wheels?

Bugzy, If you look into my posts I wrote an article about the S-Line body style so you have pictures to compare Sl-Line vs. Sport Package. The exterior body style is slightly diffrent in regards to the front and rear bumpers. The big diffrence is the interior trim and sport seats.

Just wondering if the Avant with the sport package pictured here has the same size exhaust tips as the Sline Avant in your earlier article.

I noticed that the B8 Avants with later build dates have larger diameter exhaust tips but I’m not sure if it is in fact the same as the Sline.

From Mugen on January 13th, 2009

Mugen, The sport package Avant and the S-Line Avant to the naked eye have the same size exhaust tips. However I do remember the tips being smaller when the B8 first came out.

B8 avant with sport package or S-Line makes a big different! The back still growing on me though, bit strange looking. The B8 tails are not LED or tube effect correct?

From Littlewhite on January 22nd, 2009

Littlewhite, The new A4 Avant does not have tube lighting or the LED lighting in the rear, they have to save somthing for next year.

From Portland Audi on January 23rd, 2009

Haha! True True. I though I saw the tube effect style on the 4D. Must be only on the B8 DTM race cars then.

I really like the S6 LED tails, I wish I can get them/style on my A3 8P (pre 09)!

You should post some pics of the interior. I know it’s a little different – sport seats & wheel right?
