The Audi In The Transporter Movie – Audi A8L W12
Mar 30
Last night The Transporter 2, with Jason Statham and was on and of course I had to watch it. I enjoy any movie with good driving scenes and I enjoy them even more when those driving scenes include an Audi. What makes the Transporter 2 so good is not the plot, I couldn’t even tell you what the movie is about, however I could tell you all about the Audi A8L W12 the movie premiers. The 6.0L W12 Engine produces 450 horse power and has a 0-60MPH of less 5 seconds, not bad for a vehicle that is over 203 inches long. Don’t get me wrong, I love the power plant of the W12, but what really gets me going is the fit, finish and trim level of this vehicle. The 1,000 watt 14 speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system is just one of the spectacular pieces of technology that you can enjoy; combine that with the two rear entertainment systems and you have your self a mini movie theater. When A8L W12 is at idle’ it is very unexacting. The only way to distinguish the W12 from its smaller brother, the 4.2L, are the rectangular dual exhaust tips, strong W12 exterior badging, and if you know your Audi’s, the Star style L.E.D. headlights. Otherwise this monster of an engine is completely silent at idle. I had to try it for myself, so I pressed the push button start and the engine ignited with confidence, but was not over intrusive as you would expect from this size of power-plant. I was simply moving the A8L W12 into the light to take pictures and it really made my day. Take a look for yourselves at what this vehicle is made of and what the Portland Audi Clientele are stepping into. Like many other cities, Portland is not the biggest, but we still provide an executive product.

I am lucky enough to own one of these fantastic cars and must say and it is by far the best car I have ever owned!
In sport mode, it is very surprisingly nimble quick for a car of its size! Takes many other vehicles by surprise.
the standard of the build both inside and out is exceptional, everything it so precise in the way it fits together.
Would love to know how many of the W12 LWB’s there are here in the UK

FYI, the W12 does not have full LED headlights. The LEDs on the car are simply daytime running lights. The headlights are still adaptive bi-xenon lamps. The only Audi to offer full LED headlights is the R8 and it is an option. The full LED headlight will be standard on the R8 5.2

Hi There, I was wondering if the W12 you just delivered allowed the Audio Playback thru the vehicles B&O speakers? I have a S8 with the exclusive RSE option as well. I was kind of dissapointed that you can only listen to the rear seat content thru headphones only.
